The program focuses on in-depth information regarding the project management plan with specific courses on project scheduling, project estimating, construction safety practices per OSHA specifications, sustainable construction practices, construction law, accounting, asset management, materials management, quality control and risks and uncertainties. This well-rounded education, embracing Lawrence Tech’s motto of theory and practice, can help prepare you for leadership positions within the construction industry

The MCEM program requires 30 credit hours to complete. Most courses are available in the evenings, and you can complete your degree in as few as three semesters.

Throughout your studies, you will learn to use mathematics, science, and engineering to analyze problems and design construction processes. Lawrence Tech’s MCEM program also stresses advanced computer and communication skills, as well as the importance of professionalism and ethics.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Bayati

Assistant Professor, CSRC Director

Dr. Al-Bayati is the founding director of the Construction Safety Research Center (CSRC) and an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Before joining 利记sbo, Dr. Al-Bayati was an assistant professor in the Kimmel School of Construction Management at Western Carolina University. He teaches classes in construction safety, conceptual estimating and design build for the MCEM program.
